Back Pain Relief Medication
Currently there is no complete cure to administer to a person who experiences back pain; for most people, their only concern is to receive back pain relief medication to dull the pain. Although some medication may be effective and bring pain relief, it doesn’t really help with the underlying problem of the condition causing the distress.
Any type of medication should only be used with the supervision of a doctor but especially when it is taken on a regular basis. The back is under a constant strain throughout our lives and whilst it is very strong, spinal injury is one of the most common conditions around the world and even sitting incorrectly can create a long term problem.
Most spinal problems are a result of lifting heavy weights but they can also be caused by lifting even light weights incorrectly, the pain is usually experienced in the lower back. There are a number of natural back pain relief methods that mean you will not have to rely on drugs. Tense muscles in the back can be eased just by gentle stretching; this provides relief and is simple to carry out.
Another type of treatment uses reflexology to massage the feet. It is a very old natural therapy which helps to relieve many chronic ailments. Reflexology can also help to improve the body’s blood circulation and relax muscles.
Although acupuncture is an age old Chinese medical practice that has been used for thousands of years, it is only recently that the Western world has accepted it as an alternative form of back pain relief. Acupuncture works by releasing the ‘chi’ or energy flow that every living thing has. It can become clogged up when sickness is present; using thin needles placed into the body at specific points can free this energy. There are large numbers of people that use acupuncture on a regular basis and claim it works well for them providing pain relief; especially those who have what is termed a chronic condition.
Tai Chi is also another ancient Chinese discipline which is basically a type of exercise similar to yoga except it is slower. This method uses breathing control as the main source of relief with some stretching involved. It is so easy to learn by the young and old alike.
In addition to these methods to natural back pain relief, exercise can also help to relieve back pain. By exercising regularly there is less chance of a back pain attack.
